Dear Alumni and Friends,
You do so much for us, including serving as guest speakers in our classes, participating on juries, and hiring our students as interns and employees. We appreciate you!
Financial gifts are always useful as well, and we use these to help students attend conferences and field trips. If you’re a CAP grad, you remember just how meaningful those travel opportunities were to your education … and just how tough it could be to come up with the extra money needed to participate. It’s critical that our students today travel outside of Indiana to see first-hand what planning issues other cities face and to learn from professionals at conferences such as the national APA conference each spring. It’s so gratifying to us to be able to help students who struggle by providing some financial help for these events – we can’t do that without you!
Financial help allows us to provide small awards each spring to students who’ve demonstrated excellence and to let our studio classes travel to project sites without charging students. Sometimes we use donations to feed students, too! If you’d like to designate what we use your money for, send us a note at planning@bsu.edu or include a message when you pay online. We always honor donors’ wishes.
