College of Health

The College of Health’s general fund supports over 3,600 students enrolled in majors within the College, as well as, another 4,000+ students taking service courses within our academic areas. The College of Health comes along at a transformational time for health professionals. The marketplace has a significant need for skilled and adaptable professionals who are clinically knowledgeable, adept at critical thinking and problem solving, and devoted to lifelong learning.

The new Health Professions building located in the newly developed east quad of campus will be opened in fall of 2019. It features over 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art clinical simulation space as well as interdisciplinary clinics.

Ball State’s College of Health students will immerse themselves in an interprofessional environment, learning about, from, and with one another across different health-related disciplines. Benefiting from core content that enhances the understanding of health and well-being throughout the life span, our graduates will enter the workplace prepared to become members of collaborative practice teams. Such collaboration creates a more unified, less fragmented health care system and improves the overall quality of patient care.

The new building facilitates interprofessional practice with multiple simulations and research labs, virtual simulation computer labs, group therapy rooms, an active learning classroom, health library, demo kitchen, and collaboration hubs have all been designed to maximize shared spaces and discovery across all disciplines in the building.

Your gift to the college of health fund is making a difference in the lives of our students and making our state of the art interprofessional education space a reality.
