Journalism

The Ball State Department of Journalism is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and if every graduate in our global network donates $50, the department will be able to provide nearly $400,000 in scholarships for deserving majors.

Gifts made this year have double the impact through a passionate graduate’s pledge to match gifts of any amount made to the $50 for 50th Anniversary Campaign, which supports the department’s general scholarship fund. Those awards relieve financial burdens for students majoring in news journalism, photojournalism, journalism education, magazine media, public relations, journalism graphics, public relations, and advertising.

You were never “a number” at Ball State and those who came before you invested in your success. Your professors believed in and challenged you, while student media and organizations equipped you with the know-how to adapt and achieve in this ever-changing media landscape.

Now is your time to support the next generation of storytellers and strategists. Every gift matters, and collectively, our commitments add value to your degree and advance the department’s mission to outfit students with the confidence, expertise, and connections to tell stories that matter.

Thank you for your support.
