Our 21st-century society is inundated with information. It’s all too easy for meaning to get lost in the clamor of texts, emails, web posts, videos, sounds, and the latest social media rants. The College of Information, Communication, and Media (CCIM) educates the next generation of storytellers to sort through this ocean of data, put it into context, and interpret it. Rather than train for an age of information, our students learn to live and lead in an age of meaning.

To facilitate their growth, CCIM students have access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology from day one. This means every student, regardless of background or financial ability, has access to hands-on technology that prepares them to succeed.

In CCIM, we treat our students as colleagues, both guided and supported by faculty. Students have the opportunity to travel and present their work at conferences and compete in national and international competitions. They engage in study abroad experiences around the world and realize real-world solutions for Indiana communities. Your gifts allow hard-working students to focus on their education and say 'yes' to enriching learning experiences.

Your support empowers students with the passion and purpose to live the meaning and values symbolized by Beneficence: excellence, innovation, courage, integrity, inclusiveness, social responsibility, and gratitude, as shared by Journalism freshman Christian Dixie, Communication Studies Master’s student Olivia DeSalvo and ’14 Telecommunications alumna Alicia Herder

On this One Ball State Day 2020, we are looking forward to seeing our CCIM family come together, share CCIM stories, and give back to Ball State.
