Journalism

Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal. No matter where you are or what you’re doing, it’s the Ball State Department of Journalism’s mission to connect graduates across the globe on this One Ball State Day.

If every graduate in our global network donates $50, the department will be able to provide nearly $400,000 in scholarships for deserving majors. This includes, but isn’t limited to, students majoring in:

●      News Journalism

●      Journalism Education

●      Magazine Journalism

●      Public Relations

●      Visual Storytelling (Graphics/Development & Photojournalism)

●      Advertising

●      Mass Communication

Your gift will allow current Cardinals to make new insights, achieve new levels of success and fly to new heights. Most importantly, they’ll be able to tell new stories and achieve the department's main mission of “Stories better told, lives better lived.”

You were never “a number” at Ball State, and those who came before you invested in your success. Your professors believed in and challenged you, while student media and organizations equipped you with the know-how to adapt and achieve in this ever-changing media landscape. We continue to do these things today.

Now is your time to support the next generation of storytellers and strategists. Every gift matters, and collectively, our commitments add value to your degree and advance the department’s mission to outfit students with the confidence, expertise and connections to tell stories that matter.

Thank you for your support.
