University Police Department

The Ball State University Police Department participates in a variety of community relations and crime prevention activities. Over the last several years, we have increased our efforts to develop a close and trusting relationship with our community. To help increase our involvement with the community, we are asking for donations to assist us with obtaining further resources to help implement our goals of increasing productive citizen contacts and establishing lasting relationships.

Some of the programs we currently offer to the community are the Citizens Police Academy, Dunk-A-Cop, Bicycle Registration, Rape Aggression Defense training, College Mentors for kids, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events presentations, and numerous residence hall programs. Programs of this nature are currently funded through our department training or equipment budgets. Any donations received for these programs will offset expenses currently incurred by our police department.
