The Health Professions Building opened Fall of 2019, provides student access to more than 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art clinical simulation spaces and professional clinics. The building reflects a longstanding institutional commitment to the social and economic health care needs of the Ball State and Muncie communities with its Interprofessional Community Clinics.
The Health and Physical Activity Building houses our School of Kinesiology and the Fisher Institute of Health and Well-Being. This building is a key research hub with numerous laboratories including Biomechanics and Human Performance.
We empower our students to work in collaborative, team-based settings to deliver patient-centered care. Our interprofessional education and practice environment integrates expertise and discovery across disciplines. This process guides two or more students from different majors to learn about, from, and with each other allowing them to effectively collaborate and improve health outcomes. We prepare our graduates to ultimately contribute to improving the patient’s experience of care, the health of populations, provider well-being, and reducing the per-capita cost of health care.
