Athletics

Ball State athletics is committed to providing an impactful experience for our student-athletes. Our mission is to ensure academic success, foster competitive excellence, and create leadership opportunities for our 450 student-athletes across 19 sports and outstanding spirit squads. Due to your belief in that mission, they are poised for greatness.

In the pursuit of graduation and championships, we strive to fly to greater heights. As we remain student-athlete centered, continued support for training tools, nutrition, and health and wellness will allow our student-athletes to reach their peak performance. Our focus on leadership development and providing meaningful career preparation are also a part of our critical mission. These components will lead to even greater team success and individual growth.

To influence our vision, we rely on your passion and unwavering support to provide our teams with the tools necessary to compete at the highest level. On this One Ball State Day, be a champion for a specific team or all Cardinals. Together we can place our student-athletes on the trajectory for exceptional achievement, both here at Ball State and beyond.

While we’re focused on flourishing as an institution and department, we realize that COVID-19 continues to bring rapid change to our country. The leadership and response of our campus and community have been extraordinary. One of the most remarkable characteristics of the Ball State family is unity in times of crisis and need. Let’s continue to encourage each other during these trying times and work toward an even stronger future.
