Indiana Public Radio
Indiana Public Radio - Your Public Radio Station

At Indiana Public Radio, we are committed to serving 22 counties in eastern and central Indiana with unbiased, balanced, high-quality journalism. We connect people to educational experiences and deliver trusted stories that resonate with our diverse audience. Your support ensures that we continue to be the source of information and inspiration for our entire community.

By supporting Indiana Public Radio (IPR), you can help fund opportunities such as the Public Media Accelerator (PMX) program, where highly motivated students gain hands-on experience at IPR and Ball State PBS while exploring potential careers in public media. Through positions in areas such as audio/video production, marketing, community engagement, and news reporting, students develop industry skills while contributing to the services we provide to the community.

The PMX program features:

  • paid work in a professional public media environment
  • personal workspace in the PMX Innovation Lab
  • a dedicated academic professional who will make sure the student’s experience aligns with Ball State Public Media’s goal to create a high-impact learning practice
  • ongoing career mentoring
  • opportunities to participate in Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations (IPBS) webinars and other public media learning opportunities
  • networking opportunities in the industry

“Being a part of PMX has provided me with hands-on experience that has expanded my professional development skills. The projects I’ve worked on have taught me a lot about the importance of public media’s presence within the area, it's been rewarding getting to do meaningful work and see the difference it makes in the community.” — Dahlia Aliwa, former Membership Fellow
