The Multicultural Center offers programs that educate the Ball State community about the unique contributions of students at the university. We also address the unique needs and issues of students through initiatives that provide support and guidance throughout the college experience. We celebrate the culturally diverse achievements of faculty, staff, and students.
Our opportunities are open to any currently enrolled Ball State University student without regard to race, religion, color, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, disability, genetic information, ethnicity, national origin or ancestry, age, protected veteran status, or other legally protected category.
This Multicultural Center fund provides financial support for student programs and initiatives designed to support co-curricular engagement. Some of these programs include:
Unity Week
Each January, we partner with organizations around campus to host cultural and educational events. All events are free and open to students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Man 2 Men
The Ball State Man 2 Men Program aims to boost the recruitment and retention of men by empowering participants with academic, leadership, and professional opportunities. All events, programs, and membership are open and free to all currently enrolled students. The program strives for success in academic and post-graduate life. Benefits include potential scholarships and financial aid, and official Man 2 Men swag and apparel.REACH
REACH (Retain, Engage, Aspire, Connect, Help)
The REACH Peer Mentoring program, open to all students, focuses on the experiences of students. First-year students are paired with returning student mentors who serve as a resource and a support person. The REACH program fosters identity, academic and social engagement, and personal development.
Multicultural Leadership Workshop
The Multicultural Leadership Workshop is an introductory workshop offered by the Multicultural Center to all Ball State students. This program gives students the opportunity to engage in learning and discussion on the basics of multiculturalism.
