Missed One Ball State Day? You can still make an impact.
Ball State University Police Department

The Ball State University Police Department is committed to strengthening the bonds between our department and the community we serve. We achieve this by fostering relationships across the university and throughout Muncie. Through educational programs such as Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event training, the Citizen’s Police Academy, Self-Defense classes, Rape Aggression Defense courses, and more, we actively empower and educate our community.

Daily, our officers can be found patrolling campus, nearby neighborhoods, roadways, and walkways. You’ll also see them inside campus buildings and throughout campus, serving as a visible presence of our commitment to safety and support. We strive to build personal connections within our community through initiatives like the Housing Liaison program and Lunch/Dinner-With-A-Cop events. These programs provide opportunities for students to join us for a meal, share their insights, and get to know our officers on a more personal level.

Funds from One Ball State Day play a crucial role in sustaining these programs, ensuring we have the resources to continue fostering strong relationships and providing meaningful engagement opportunities.

One Ball State Day is more than just a fundraising event for the Ball State Police Department. It’s an opportunity to strengthen our connection with the community and express our gratitude to those who support us every day. OBSD allows us to be more visible, engage with our community, and give our officers and staff a firsthand look at the appreciation for the services we provide. Your support helps us continue delivering top-tier training and engagement, ensuring we serve our community at the highest level. Thank you for standing with us!
