About the University Libraries

The Ball State University Libraries is working harder than ever to serve our students, faculty, and community in a safe environment. From an increase in virtual instruction and research consultations to safe handling of circulating print and physical collections, we are meeting learners and researchers wherever they are to provide transformative information resources and experiences.

Over the past year University Libraries has brought awareness to Open Educational Resources and library services and resources as a part of the textbook affordability at Ball State (TABS) program in order to assist in lowering the cost of attending the University. We have also been offering monthly virtual events as a part of the Virtual Lunch and Learn Series in which library services and resources are highlighted in conjunction with campus partners, faculty, and students showing the real impact that University Libraries is having on our students’ educational journeys. In our continuing commitment to inclusive excellence, the Friends of Bracken Library have been instrumental in the Reel Inclusion film series which provides a forum for discussion and collaboration regarding social and human rights topics.

The Libraries is a place for everyone, and we appreciate your support as we continue welcoming our campus community to access and use our resources, spaces, technologies, and expertise to advance their learning journey.

How Your Donation Helps

In 2024, Ball State University Libraries will contribute funds raised on One Ball State Day to the ongoing improvement of library spaces and resources to accommodate our students’ rapidly-evolving academic needs.

The University Libraries is continually developing state-of-the-art collaborative learning environments with access to dynamic scholarly resources and digital tools and technologies where students engage with innovative librarians and experts to research, learn, exchange ideas, communicate academically, and publish scholarship.

Your support will help Ball State University Libraries continue to develop spaces that are accessible, sustainable, and equipped to advance the work of our diverse, ambitious, and innovative campus community.

Thank you for your support and consideration. Your contributions are an important part of our continued success!
