The BSU Field Station and Environmental Education Center (FSEEC) manages 425 acres of land for conservation, education, and research. Christy Woods makes up 17 acres of that protected land and is primarily forested with a 1-acre prairie in the center, representing 2 of the 3 most common habitats here in Indiana. To further our educational and conservation mission, we plan to add a wetland area to Christy Woods, west of the Environmental Education Center. 85% of wetlands have disappeared in Indiana compared to the late 1700s, making them one of the most imperiled habitats here in Indiana. With your support, we can further our conservation efforts to support our local flora and fauna and enhance our wetland educational programming.
