The Career Center services and programs focus on our mission to connect all of our partners for the purpose of helping students integrate their education, self-awareness, and experiences to empower a lifetime of career achievement and personal satisfaction.
From career programming that is infused into the classroom, to job fairs and networking events, the Ball State University Career Center offers nationally recognized services that are truly making an impact. We hope you’ll consider donating to the Career Center to support student-focused initiatives.
Your donations go to supporting services and programs like these:
Home to the first of its kind, Ball State University launches the Indiana Connection Lounge inside its Career Center. Unique to Ball State, the innovative lounge is an intimate space where the University hosts alumni, employers, and students, helping facilitate one-on-one and small-group introductions. It’s a more intentional and strategic approach to career development and building social capital, all against a backdrop of comfortable furniture, a coffee bar with refreshments, and the latest technology.
Students can casually connect with employers as and where they are, integrate their skills developed from the classroom and cocurricular spaces into, and feel empowered to engage alumni and employer partners and make connections.
Full-time Ball State faculty members are invited to apply for a training and collaboration experience. The goals are to help students better articulate transferrable skills learned in concert with course content and to provide a gap analysis tool that students can use to reflect on skills not yet practiced or learned. Alumni and employer partners volunteer their time to share recent and relevant examples with faculty cohorts to bring industry examples into the classroom.
There is nothing more important to our Career Coaches than helping students achieve their goals. We help students explore, make connections, build skills, and support their transition from student to post-graduation success. Students can meet one-on-one with a Career Coach specializing in their major and career concentration.
