Join the Office of Inclusive Excellence for #OneBallState Day. Donations to the fund for Inclusive Excellence provide an opportunity to share a commitment to Inclusive Excellence for our campus and community. 

Inclusive Excellence has a significant impact on Ball State students, staff, and faculty now and in the future. 

The Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) plays a critical role in advancing the Inclusive Excellence Strategic Plan and other initiatives. The Office provides:

  • Diverse community engagement – connecting our Muncie community to Ball State.
  • Inclusive excellence competency-building – ensuring our community is equipped with effective tools to be an inclusive community.
  • Support and advocacy – creating spaces of community and belonging for students, staff, and faculty.
  • Partnerships and resources – connecting with internal and external community to develop events, initiatives, and strategies to advance inclusive excellence.

The Office of Inclusive Excellence at Ball State University works to build a diverse community to foster the representation of diversity – including race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, and sexual orientation – and provide an inclusive experience for all members of our community.

Your gift is a vote of confidence in the progress OIE has made to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging on campus. For the sixth consecutive year, Ball State has received a Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from “INSIGHT Into Diversity,” the oldest and largest diversity magazine and website in higher education. The HEED Award recognizes U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. Your support will help secure the foundation for continued progress for our campus and community.

Successful performance in today's diverse workforce requires the ability to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds, and to have competencies of inclusive excellence. The investment you make in OIE today will bring increased representation, opportunities, and success to students, staff, and faculty for generations to come.
