Miller Business Honors Program

One Ball State Day is becoming a tradition which inspires and unites the University community. During this time of national and world-wide crisis, that has never been truer. The Miller College of Business is incredibly proud of the passion and resilience of our Ball State students. Should you feel compelled to support the next generation of Cardinal alumni, please consider a gift to the Jack Beyerl Student Emergency Aid fund on One Ball State Day. Funds to specifically support Miller students are listed for your consideration as well. From the bottom of our hearts, and on behalf of every student, thank you.

After an incredibly successful launch last year, we are excited to continue our quest to support some of our "best & brightest" students! Honors-level students have ambitious goals, such as

  • Obtaining multiple internships
  • Graduating early
  • Pursuing multiple (often unrelated) majors/minors within the traditional four-year timeline
  • Having the opportunity to network individually with employers & alumni
  • Applying their skills in a real-world environment

We encourage and support our students' goals, as well as making them aware of options they might not know exist! Please consider supporting the next generation of future Miller Scholars

This program fund directly supports future Miller Scholars just like you and the Miller Business Honors Program overall. Specifically, this fund will allow us to provide a wide array of opportunities to give students the best possible experience across their college journey. Our priorities are:

Scholarships

The Miller Scholarship is offered to 12 students annually. Since the standards and expectations of this program apply to all students, we strive to provide financial support of some kind to all of our honors students. By supporting scholarships, you greatly help to relieve students and family members of stress concerning tuition, room and board, books, and many other college costs. With this financial support, students can fully focus on academic and career aspirations. They can also engage more thoroughly in on-campus involvement and leadership as well as off-campus internships, study abroad, research, and more! These extra activities significantly prompt personal growth and professional maturity. This growth is key to major and career decision-making, bringing awareness of other cultures and business practices and developing advantages upon entering the professional workforce or graduate school.

Programming

To further elevate the Honors Program, your gift will help us provide a broader set of experiences to our high-achieving students. You may recall hearing someone speak about workplace topics and participating in developmental seminars and workshops. By supporting our programmatic efforts, you help to introduce these advanced students to higher-profile speakers, more geographically diverse company visits, enhanced career preparation activities, and more!

Future Opportunities

As the Honors Program continues to settle into a new structure, throughout Summer 2020, we will consider and review new benefits and features for our students. Your support will provide the ability to continue offering specialized and targeted opportunities you have come to appreciate and expect from this flagship program!
