Each Ball State University student is uniquely talented, but not all have the same opportunities. To realize their potential, some promising students need donor support to access a life-changing education. Guided by the Ball State University Foundation, Take Flight (a student opportunity fund) supports Ball State students whose ability to enroll in classes or graduate on time from Ball State may be at risk due to demonstrated financial need.
In partnership with Financial Aid and Scholarships, Student Affairs and key partners across campus, Take Flight provides micro-grants in the amount of $2,000 or less to students who have a minimum of 75 credits and have no disciplinary holds on their student accounts. Take Flight funds will be awarded through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and applied toward the outstanding balance on the awardee's account and provides the recipient with the opportunity to enroll for classes the next semester or to graduate.
