Orchid Greenhouse & Environmental Education Center
Coming Soon! Rinard Orchid Greenhouse Expansion and New Environmental Education Center

Environmental Education has always been at the core of what we do. We are nearing completion on our greenhouse expansion and creation of our environmental education center, and estimate opening to the public in June 2022!

BSU students, PreK-12th grade students, and community members will be able to use our environmental education center to learn about our native Indiana ecology and our orchid collection. While the facility itself is funded and construction is nearing completion, furnishings for the environmental education center remain to be funded. With your help, we hope to include nature-inspired artwork and furniture that will enhance the learning experience of our visitors to our center. We also plan to include several animal enclosures in the space, including a native frog tank and a turtle enclosure, to provide our learners with up-close encounters with some of Indiana's amazing wildlife. Finally, we plan to provide a constant supply of educational and craft materials to provide our visitors with ample hands-on opportunities to learn, create, and grow!

$750,000 will unlock $25,000 for Student Emergency Aid, Student Scholarships, Cardinal Kitchen, Cardinal Excellence Fund, and SOAR. Each area will receive $5,000 thanks to an anonymous donor.
