Teachers College Dean’s Excellence and Student Assistance Fund

Having access to discretionary funds is one of the most critical needs for the Teachers College. Being able to respond quickly to opportunities, provide support for our students who face challenges, and to engage alumni and others is essential to our future and our reputation.

Some illustrations include:

  • Student assistance with short-term needs and program requirements such as the cost of edTPA, a performance based, subject-specific assessment that teacher candidates must complete
  • Professional development opportunities
  • International field placements such as a student teaching program in the Department of Defense Education Activity schools (DoDEA) in Germany and a practicum in England
  • Gatherings with alumni across the nation and the Teachers College Alumni Society which meets twice a year to select scholarship and award recipients and plan special events

Your gift will be used to support the kind of initiatives that can make a difference for our faculty, students, alumni, and education partners.
