What is One Ball State Day?
One Ball State Day is our award-winning 24-hour online fundraising event held in April. On this day, it’s all about our great University and the people who make this place so special! Alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of Ball State are welcome and encouraged to show their Cardinal pride and make a gift to the area that means the most to them.
When is One Ball State Day 2021?
One Ball State Day is April 6th, 2021.
Why should I participate in One Ball State Day?
As Ball State University works to move the state and the University forward, building a foundation to provide opportunities for students to learn, grow and thrive in our state is critical. Your gift to Ball State University can help accomplish amazing things. The possibilities are endless.
How can I give?
Giving is easy. You can give on oneballstate.bsu.edu on Tuesday, April 6th anytime from midnight until 11:59 pm EST. You can make a gift to support student emergency aid, or you can make a gift in support of your school, college, department, or organization of choice. When you do so, you could also earn matching funds to support it. Then, share your experience! Post about it on social media and encourage your friends to give with #OneBallState!
Is there a minimum gift amount?
The minimum gift amount is $5.
Is my One Ball State day gift tax-deductible?
Yes, of course! Your official gift receipt for tax purposes will be emailed immediately after you make your gift. Please consult your tax advisor for advice related to your specific tax situation.
What funds are available?
The University areas that agreed to participate are featured on the One Ball State site. If you’d like to make a gift to a fund not listed, please go to bsu.edu/give.
I gave earlier this year. Does that gift count?
Only gifts made on April 6, 2021 during the 24-hour online effort count for One Ball State Day. We celebrate all our donors year-round, no matter when gifts are made. OBSD is a giving day specific to a particular time as we celebrate the University and our impact across the world.
What are giving challenges?
Giving challenges are One Ball State Day contests that will earn additional funds for One Ball State Day causes on April 6, 2021.
