Did you know that fully online students are not eligible for the same emergency aid as on-campus students? Just one unexpected expense—car repair, childcare costs, a higher utility bill, an ER visit—can be enough of a financial hardship to make the difference between staying in class or having to withdraw. Ball State University’s Online Student Support Fund grants emergency funds for online-only students. Most of our online students are juggling their classes with full-time jobs, families, kids’ after-school events, and other responsibilities. We believe they shouldn’t have to choose between an education that improves their futures or covering an emergency cost.
Since the fund’s creation in 2021, more than $12,000 have been awarded to Ball State Online students when they needed it most. Our biggest goal is to see all our students succeed, and by donating to the Online Student Support Fund, you can help a student achieve success.
