School of Music
Supporting Excellence and Empowering Tomorrow's Musicians at Ball State University

The School of Music at Ball State University is dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality undergraduate and graduate education in music, both in a liberal arts and professionally authentic context. The student-centered nature of our School enables and encourages students to transform knowledge into action, achieve exceptional artistic goals with courage and integrity, engage with others in impactful ways, and share the joy and appreciation of music with the University community, our city, state, nation, and the world.

Opportunities for Support - click the red links below to give today! For this year, if we reach 150 donations the School of Music will receive a $500 match from Director Dr. Franklin Larey.

Please donate to the Ball State Choirs fund on One Ball State Day! This gift will support opportunities such as those that benefit students in our flagship choral ensemble, the Chamber Choir, including their upcoming Midwest tour May 3–9. This provides an opportunity for our students to perform in some rewarding architectural spaces, to invest more deeply into some significant repertoire, and to share the gift of music with a broad audience. Tour stops include Cincinnati, Louisville, and St. Louis.

General Fund supports all academic programs within the School of Music. A gift to this fund will support things like, but not limited to, enhancing our outstanding programs in Music Education, Music Media Production, Music Performance, Music Composition, and all areas of graduate study. Donations help provide curricular resources, sponsor guest lecture series, and fund other initiatives that enrich students' learning experiences.

A gift to the Bravo! Scholarship Fund will help the School attract and retain an exceptional and diverse pool of student musicians and empower them to pursue their passion.

The Endowment Funds for our BandsOrchestrasChoirsJazz Ensembles, and Opera support the artistry and excellence that are the hallmarks of our ensembles. Proud alumni may also support the Pride of Mid-America Marching Band. You can also support University Singers and Studio Band and Commercial Music students.

The Rebecca Reichert Scholarship in Music Education supports our music education program and students by providing recipients with a scholarship award for the senior year of study.

Finally, a gift to the Prism Project will allow the School, and all of its University and community partners, to continue to provide community, arts-based instruction for students with special needs or exceptionalities.
