Department of Media Special Support Fund

Managed by the Media Department, this fund helps advance projects within the department such as student immersive learning experiences, award submissions, equipment purchases, facility needs, student travel, or anything related to the student experience.

Dr. Maria Williams-Hawkins Memorial Scholarship

Created to honor Dr. Maria's Legacy, this fund will provide scholarships to Media students or student members of Ball State's chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Grace Bentkowski Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of News alumna Grace Bentkowski ('24), this fund provides scholarships to Media majors.

Radiance Cinema Fund

This fund provides financial support to Radiance Cinema, our year-long short film production program. Monies support the purchase of props, set decoration, craft services, casting of professional actors, travel, equipment, guest speakers, film festival submissions and more.

Sports Link: Student Experiences & Scholarships

Support from alumni and friends like you helps us provide students with a distinctive sports media education, challenging projects and life-changing opportunities to prepare them to succeed in the industry and in life. Your gift in 2026 supports opportunities such as taking students to national conferences to network with peers and bringing award-winning industry professionals to campus to engage students.

WCRD Initiative Fund

This fund provides financial support for the day-to-day operations of the student-run WCRD-FM, including but not limited to purchasing and repairing equipment, streaming fees, and licensing fees.

Media Alumni Society Fund

Donations to this fund will be used by the Media Alumni Society to support alumni outreach activities and student engagement events.
