The School of Music at Ball State University is dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality undergraduate and graduate education in music, both in a liberal arts and professionally authentic context. The student-centered nature of our School enables and encourages students to transform knowledge into action, achieve exceptional artistic goals with courage and integrity, engage with others in impactful ways, and share the joy and appreciation of music with the University community, our city, state, nation, and the world.
Opportunities for Support
The General Fund supports all of the academic programs within the School of Music. A gift to this fund will enable our outstanding programs in Music Education, Music Media Production, Music Performance, Music Composition, and all areas of graduate study to purchase curricular resources and sponsor guest lecture series that will enhance students' experiences and learning.
A gift to the Bravo! Scholarship Fund will help the School attract and retain an exceptional and diverse pool of student musicians and empower them to pursue their passion.
Proud alumni and supporters of the Pride of Mid-America Marching Band and University Singers may choose to make a gift to either of these outstanding ensembles that serve as exemplary ambassadors for our School of Music. Your support will help both the "Singers" and "POMA" offset costs for music, technology, and equipment, all of which allow them to continue their mission of bringing high-quality, musical performances to communities near and far. The Endowment Funds for our Bands, Orchestras, Choral program, Jazz Ensembles, and Opera productions support the tradition of artistry and excellence that has become a hallmark of our flagship ensembles. Gifts to these funds will support ensemble travel to nationally recognized conferences, guest performers, commissions for new works, royalties, and the purchase of standard repertoire.
Finally, a gift to the Prism Project will allow the School, and all of its University and community partners, to continue to provide community, arts-based instruction for students with special needs or exceptionalities.
